Frequently asked questions

What is the return policy?

You can request a return within 30 days of delivery. Items should be unused and in their original packaging. If your SmoothPaw arrives damaged or stops working, email us a photo and we’ll send a replacement or a full refund, no return needed. To start, email us at smoothpawsupport@gmail.com with your order number.

When will I get my order?

Shipping is free on every US order. Orders are processed within 1–3 business days, and most arrive within 7–10 business days after that. Once your order ships, you’ll get an email with tracking so you can follow it to your door.

My pet is nervous about nail trims. Any tips?

Go slow. Let your pet sniff the tool and hear the grinder running before you touch their paws. Start on the low speed, trim just one or two nails per session if needed, and reward them with a treat after. Most pets get more comfortable with short, regular sessions.

Wil it work on my pet?

It’s made for dogs and cats. Pick the small, medium, or large grinder opening based on nail thickness, not the type of animal.

Does the light help me avoid cutting too short?

The light brightens your work area, but it can’t show the blood vessel inside the nail, especially on dark nails. To stay safe, clip a little at a time and use the grinder to smooth the rest.

How do I clean it?

Remove the blade and grinder head and rinse them under running water. Wipe the body with a dry cloth, and let everything dry before putting it back together.

How do I charge it?

Plug it in with the included USB-C cable. It works with a wall adapter, laptop, or power bank. No batteries to buy.
